From time to time our hours may be modified. Please click here to view our Google page and any updated hours of operation.

Do I need to call ahead for urgent care?

It is preferred. We ask that you call us at 949.653.9300 prior to your arrival so we can be fully prepared for your visit, and we can let you know what kind of wait time to expect. If our caseload is particularly high and your pet requires immediate advanced-level care, we may recommend that you take your pet to another nearby emergency veterinary hospital.

Where is AVSG Internal Medicine & Urgent Care located?

AVSG Internal Medicine & Urgent Care is located inside the Advanced Veterinary Specialty Group building at 2965 Edinger Avenue in Tustin, CA. Look for the purple sign to the left of the Metrolink Station. For your convenience, there’s parking immediately in front of our sliding front entry door.

Clinical Questions

What if my pet needs surgery?

Our emergency veterinarians are trained and equipped to perform many surgeries. In addition, thanks to our affiliation with Veterinary Surgical Specialists of Orange County (VSSOC), the region’s largest and most experienced group of board-certified veterinary surgeons, we’re able to give your pet fast, efficient access to top-quality surgical care if specialized surgical expertise needed. VSSOC is located right here in our building.

What if my pet’s condition requires specialty care by a board-certified veterinarian?

In addition to internal medicine services, we can provide streamlined access to veterinary specialists in cardiology, dermatology, oncology, and surgery right here in our building.

Payment Information

How much do you charge?

Because each patient’s situation is unique, costs vary depending on the extent of diagnostic testing and your pet’s treatment plan. You will always be given an estimate for the cost of consultations and/or treatments before care is provided.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We offer many choices for payment, including cash, checks, debit cards, and most major credit cards. We also offer financing through Wells Fargo Health Advantage, CareCredit, and Scratch Pay, which are third-party payment plans for qualified applicants.

Do you accept pet insurance?

We work closely with all pet insurance providers and strongly encourage pet families to insure their pets before emergency treatment is needed. If you have pet health insurance, our staff will help you complete and submit the claim form for timely reimbursement.
