What to Expect When You Visit
In the wake of the pandemic, the entire veterinary industry today is facing some significant challenges. Chief among them is an increase in the number of patients at the same time that veterinary practices are experiencing staff shortages.
To ensure that your pet receives timely, appropriate care, we’ve developed processes to enhance our ability to see as many patients as possible in the face of extraordinary demand. Here’s what this looks like:
- When you arrive, please park in a marked AVSG parking spot and call 949.653.9300 to notify our client care representative that you’re here. This will initiate your visit. (Please note that we’re unable to provide service if your vehicle is in a No Parking zone.)
- For efficiency’s sake, we ask that all paperwork be completed before your arrival using our online forms below.
- To expedite your visit and limit crowding in exam rooms, our doctors will meet with most clients outside our building where we’ve set up a tent and bench seating area. Consultations will take place in an exam room based on your pet’s needs and at the doctor’s direction.
- At the start of an exam or treatment, we’ll let you know the approximate wait time, so you’ll know if it makes sense to stay close by or if there’s time to go home. Once the exam is completed, you will be called to the tent/bench area to discuss findings, treatment recommendations, and other information with your pet’s veterinarian.
- For the safety of our staff and other pet parents, we ask that you do not bring in a pet if you are ill, and that you limit the number of people who attend the appointment.
We know your time is valuable and we’re doing all we can to avoid having you wait weeks for an internal medicine appointment or hours to see an urgent care doctor. Please understand, however, that appointments may be unexpectedly delayed while we handle a critically ill or injured patient. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we do our best to help everyone in need of our services, and we sincerely apologize for any delays you may experience.
For additional questions or concerns, please contact us directly at 949.653.9300 or by email.
Thank you for your flexibility during these unprecedented times.
